Things every girl needs: A classic watch

Don't forget to enter to win a cocktail ring from the Grayce by Molly Sims collection!

I am one of those people who feel naked without a watch.  I don't like using my phone as a clock and I think a classic timepiece almost always makes an outfit better.  With that in mind, here are some of my favorite options if you're in the market for a watch this year.
This is my exact watch and I love it.  It's solar powered and never needs a battery, lightweight, and not too fancy or too casual for anything I wear.

I'd like to put in a word for girls with sensitive skin. I could never find a watch that didn't give me a rash; even watches with leather pands have the metal buckle that irriated my skin. Then I found Skagen, 100% stainless steel watches and I have worn them for 10 years. There are some really affordable ones and they last forever!

  3. Great selections! I've been tempted to add a watch to my "look", but I've worn a charm bracelet for years and worried that I'd have too much "wrist bling" going on. ;)

  4. Sometimes I think I should build up my watch wardrobe... then I don't. I think a tortoise one or a brown leather band would be next, though!

My watch is stainless steel, too. I forgot about Skagen - I used to sell those at Sunglass Hut in Baytown. Remember those days, Katherine?

I always end up taking off my charm bracelet on the days I wear it because it bangs into my keyboard. I finally quit wearing it because I was afraid it would get lost. :(

  5. I'm so accustomed to the jingle-jangle! The little pieces do break from all the banging around though. I have a gorgeous charm bracelet that was my grandmothers, but I don't dare wear it for that reason.
