Reader Request: One Dress Three Ways

It's been a while since I've had any reader requests, so I was really glad to get an email from Christen this week.  Here's her dilemma:
"I am in desperate need of a dress!  I have two weddings, my son's dedication, and a new job all in the month of April! This dress has pretty specific needs: it needs to be knee length, it obviously needs to be used for all 4 occasions, and it needs to be figure flattering and stylish for a pear shaped 27 year old.  I have a budget of $60 for the dress.  Color is of no preference, but I would like for it to go well with nude heels - something I have wanted for a while anyway."
After thinking about this for a while, I think the answer is an LBD... little blue dress. I will admit this challenge was really difficult because a wedding is a world away from the office, but here are my favorite options:

Since Christen recently had a baby and needs this dress to be super versatile, I've chosen the Pleated Cotton Poplin Dress on the right from eShakti.  The price is under $50, and it can be customized for an extra $7.50 if additional length is needed.  Here's how I'd style it for the various occasions coming up in April:

Jazzing up the dress with inexpensive nude heels, a printed clutch, and fun jewelry will be perfect for a wedding that's not formal.

The right blazer and accessories makes the same blue dress great for an office environment as well

And finally, a ladylike cardigan and jewelry make the blue dress suitable for a baby dedication at church

Hopefully this is helpful to some of you.  I get excited making these sets because it inspires me to mix up the clothes in my closet and wear them more often.  If you'd like to submit your own request, send me a note and I'll work on it!
