I think everyone can agree that Pinterest is the most addicting thing to happen to the internets since blogging. I'm kind of obsessed - not in the 3,000 pins way, but in that I can no longer sit quietly on my couch without having the app running or looking at the "Everything" feed before I go to bed.
However, it's really hard to find people you know on the site and unless I come across a link to someone's boards on their blog or locate them via Facebook. I was thinking it would be cool to have a master list of stylish pinners, so I invite all of you to leave a link to your pinboards here and I will compile and publish (and occasionally update) so we can all discover new friends with great taste.
If you are feeling left out and need an invitation, send me an email and I'll be happy to oblige. Also, if you aren't sure how to link people to your boards, go to the dropdown menu that contains your first name (by the tiny photo on the top right) and click on "Your Boards" - you'll end up on a page with a link that is formatted like this: http://pinterest.com/cardiganjunkie/
I hope to hear from you in the comments section... and see all the things you love to pin!

Orange you glad it's summer?
I think that some colors, while pretty on a variety of people, look especially great on brunettes. I am loving the look of orange clothing and accessories against my own hair, and have quickly accumulated several orange pieces in my closet. Here are some examples of more orange pieces I'd happily add to my collection.
The fish is an ode to my dorm room pets, Chandler and Monica, the smelliest goldfish ever to live at Texas A&M University.
I'm also loving pops of orange in interiors, even though my own home is full of cooler tones. Perhaps I should consider a switch?
I think the second room is my favorite. It even made me consider buying horse photos for about ten minutes.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I'm going to do lots of housework and watch movies... with maybe just a teeny bit of shopping thrown in. ;-)

Copycat Summer Style
It's no secret, I love me some Pinterest. One of my favorite categories to pin is, of course, outfit inspiration. I am pretty good at mixing and matching my wardrobe, but occasionally even I see combinations that make me yell (out loud, to the dogs) "I have all that!" and get excited to get dressed tomorrow.
This week I saw the image below, and could not believe that I've not worn the same outfit before
I hate that my favorite necklace is now on sale (and cheap) at H&M when I paid much more, but I guess I'm happy that everyone else can look good too and that the Dallas store isn't open yet so I'll still be unique around here. On that note, I put together a copycat look on Polyvore in case anyone else wants to dress up like me and that blonde model this summer. All pieces are available and affordable!
In other news, if you want create more outfits like me, you should "like" LOFT on Facebook and take advantage of their in-store flash sale today from 12-6. You'll get 40% off your full-price purchase if you download the coupon online (even just to your phone) and I will be definitely be there spending money I shouldn't. The LOFT team has been a big supporter of Cardigan Junkie and offered me some great exposure I wouldn't have gotten otherwise, so please check them out!

Dream Decorating: Purple & Gray Nursery
Today I felt like making another unsolicited mood board for a friend with a little girl, based on an inspiration photo that she shared with me
I like the room a lot, but decided to put my own spin on a similar design with more patterns and glam accessories that can transition to a child or teenager room.
room found here
Do you want a mood board of your own? It's free, and I enjoy doing it, so send me an email and tell me what you want!

5 Things...
Today I didn't really have a solid topic for a post (a late night at the baseball game will do that), but here are 5 quick things worth sharing:
1. This is one of the best tank tops I've purchased in a while. I got mine for $10 over the weekend at Banana Republic, and it's the perfect length and not too tight or too loose. Plus, the back has a zipper which is a fun detail when your hair is up.
4. Aren't these Nate Berkus lamps awesome? I love how they have a mid-century vibe to them. However, I really do not understand why lamps cost so much. Everywhere I look there are $350-$700 lamps for sale, and clearly there is a big market for them.

2. I'll be 28 in a few weeks, and will be getting this necklace for the occasion. Those of you who know me in real life will be seeing it a lot. (My boss is better than yours.)
3. Did anyone else catch Secrets of a Stylist this week? I like the new show format (one look), but the narrator is AWFUL. I hope they change that up before this week's episode. However, I thought the room was great and I liked that, for once, a designer worked with an existing sofa even if it wasn't something she'd pick for the room herself. That's how real life decorating goes, and better than buying some cheapo alternative for looks alone. That's my pet peeve on design shows - cheap or homemade sofas that don't look comfortable at all.

5. I will be a bridesmaid in a few weeks, and I think I'm going to do my hair this way. I have really thick hair, so it doesn't stay up very well, and I have to be ready early in the morning so anything really elaborate is risky. I'm considering using a bump-it, which is something I never thought I'd type.

Style I Love: Sookie Stackhouse
It's no secret that I am addicted to True Blood. I got sucked in last year, and now eagerly await Sunday nights and read online chatter full of speculation (like what is up with the doll?!) Besides the crazy plot lines, I also love Sookie's southern ladylike style.
She wears a lot of full skirts and halter top necklines, and luckily the look is easy to recreate. Despite her waitress salary, she clearly spends a lot of time buying dresses online from Modcloth
So, are you a Truebie? Or at least a fan of ladylike dresses?

My Weekend...
My weekend is starting today, and boy do I need it! The plan is:
Errands around town this morning...
Treating myself to takeout at lunch...
Road tripping across Texas to visit parents...
Playing in the pool...
Family dinners... ok, maybe not at a vineyard
And lots of peaceful sleep (hopefully)
See you next week! Happy weekend!
