Yeah, I know I'm stating the obvious when I say that Emily Henderson is awesome. However, I feel like saying it today and as I (virtually) sift through my collection of inspiration photos I feel like I relate most to rooms like these with a touch of vintage, some unexpected color, and a truly liveable setup.
So many of the gorgeous rooms on the internet don't look like places where husbands and wives eat leftover fajitas and watch True Blood like we do at our house. Emily is able to marry function with fanciness and I freaking love it. I also love her blog, and her show, and if she ever comes out with a furniture line I'm sure I'll love it too. And with that profession of admiration, here are some more spaces I am admiring today.

Ok, now I need to go move my things from room to room. My current arrangement now seems woefully inadequate. What space is your favorite? Is there a particular designer you'd love to invite over?
I am loving all of those images, especially the fourth one with the swing and large billow-y drapes...le sigh :)
ReplyDeleteI love the shot of the dinning room with the noticeboard in the background - there are way to many designers I would like to invite offer. I would need multiple houses for all my tastes!!
ReplyDeleteShe is truly incredible. Only way to describe her! Definitely a huge inspiration for me:)
ReplyDeleteI had no idea she had a blog!! I loved her on HGTV's Design Star. I wish she'd come help me with my house.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I could use some Emily.
ReplyDeleteI liked that first photo as well. Just used it recently.
just pinned #2! LOVE those colors :)
ReplyDeleteI really couldn't love her any more...I pretty much worship her design genius. Plus I find her *HILARIOUS*...her blog is a pretty fun read...but mostly I just daydream about how if we ever met, we would be besties and go shop the rose bowl together...*sigh*
ReplyDeleteI agree with Aubrey! She is pretty fantastic. I love the mix of liveable, glam, and natural elements with pops of color. I've also noticed the theme of equine statues throughout, which as a horse girl growing up I love!
ReplyDeleteI love her, too! One thing I don't understand about her show is how she doesn't completely finish a room and reveals to the couple before she adds in the other person's style. A little backwards if you ask me, but I always love the finished product!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Posting for diggings.
ReplyDeleteI love her too! I SO wish she would come to our entire house. And the "style diagnotics" thing is so needed since Steven and I have completely different taste. I've even tried to figure out how to get on the show, but can't figure it out. I'm assuming you have to be in Cali. Booooo.
