Trend I'm Loving: Full Skirts

Happy Monday, ladies!  I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  Mine was full of shopping, two movies (HP7 and Horrible Bosses - both great) and good food.  Plus, I kicked it all off with a fun happy hour where I met another blogger for the first time (if you can believe that!) and am happy to say that Tamra from Walks With Bella is as charming in person as she is on the internets.  And, her friend lives right by me so I now have exactly one local friend less than 20 miles away - yay!

One trend I noticed while I shopped is the full skirt, which I am so excited to see.  I love how the shape flatters so many women, including those like me who have trouble finding clothes with room for my lower half.  Plus, I've just always loved silhouettes like these:


That said, here are some of my favorite full skirts in a variety of price points:

Which one is your favorite?  I love the ikat skirt from J. Crew and the pink and black colorblock number from Topshop.  Unfortunately, both cost more than I spend on skirts.   Having a budget is no fun!  What would you buy if money didn't matter?

    I so love that dress that Grace Kelly wore in Rear Window. Love, love, love. I am a huge fan of full skirts and they're normally very flattering on me. More motivation to work on this post-baby belly!

    I love the black lace full skirt! Rear Window is one of my favorite movies of all time and Grace Kelly is timeless grace and beauty! Very nice pick and it sounded like a fun weekend!

    I love skirts in general although since the amazing comeback for dresses I think skirts have been overlooked! Let's bring them back girls!

    I'm wearing a full skirt now! I like bright patterned skirts and usually pair them with wide belts and a bright but solid colored tops :)

    The color block ones and the bright green are my favs! I LOVE LOVE LOVE full skirts and I also love Rear Window (the Grace Kelly pic) :)

    It was such a pleasure to meet you Haley!! I'm so happy you met Meredith as well, y'all have a lot in common. Love all the skirts, but if I had to choose one, it would be the yellow one. :)
