Speaking of work, I got a reader request email about a week ago from a reader named Jeanine who needs help putting together a week's worth of outfits for her upcoming trip to her company's home office. She wants to turn heads and look polished so the powers that be will have no trouble thinking of her for a promotion. Obviously, she has a limited amount of space in her suitcase, so I compiled a collection of pieces that can take her through a week of business casual outfits with evening and Friday ensembles as well.
I chose a black and gray color palette with jewel tones, and Jeanine can pretty much layer any of the pieces to create different outfits. I included a bright pencil skirt to mix things up a bit, and a leopard cardigan and skinny belt to get more mileage out of the dress and blouses. I think a basic black pair of pumps and some wedges for Friday and after work will be all Jeanine needs, and save room in the suitcase so she can carry it on the plane.
If you want help with a shopping dilemma, don't be shy! Send me an email and I'll get you in the queue for a post like this.
