Why hello, Zara.

Happy Friday!  I know we're all excited to see Zara join the ranks of e-commerce this week, and I must admit that even though we have a store here in Dallas, it's at a mall I don't visit often and I had mostly forgotten that the chain existed in the US.  Until today... when I just went crazy looking at the fall collection and am in love.

I wouldn't say I'm shy when it comes to clothes, but I don't dress in outlandish things like peep toe boots or jackets that look like they're intended for a 6'2" man.  For me, Zara is like a little push in the direction of high(ish) fashion without the risk of being made fun of at work.  The silhouettes are not necessarily edgy, but the colors and tailoring make basic pieces a little less expected.  I'm now pretty psyched to visit the Dallas store this week and see if anything fits me.  (Here's hoping the sizes don't run as small as they did in 2006 or I will be a sad panda)

These are a few of my favorite items, in case you're wondering:

Hello Zara 1

Hello Zara 2

I am loving all the bold colors, especially the emerald, yellow and turquoise tones.  I'll definitely be trying on that teal coat, the orange ballet flats, and the yellow and green silky blouses.  I don't know that I'm brave enough to wear yellow pants yet, but I like looking at them and will try them on to see what all the Pinterest fuss is about.  Who knows, maybe they'll work?  (Side note:  I was once set up on a blind date with a guy who seriously wore yellow pants and couldn't see past them.)

So... what's your favorite item?  Know of anywhere else I should start shopping now that my clothe shopping hiatus is almost over?

P.S. I'd like to wish a very happy birthday to my little sister, Carly.  I don't think she reads this, but just in case.  I love you  :)

  2. I feel the same way about Zara, it's fashion-forward but not crazy. I always forget about the Zara in the Galleria too.

  5. I've never been to a Zara, but I've loved the website for a while and am so happy that I can order online now! I really want some fun color pants. I'm pretty sure that I need a red pair. Skinny cropped, I'm thinking. ;)
