I could give you a jillion reasons why living in Texas is awesome.
However, one of the drawbacks is that we don't really have four
seasons. We get a handful of crisp fall days before Christmas, and it's
really frustrating to see all the great outfits on blogs and in
magazines when a cuddly sweaters and layers would leave all of us
dripping in sweat when it's 75 degrees in November.
Luckily, it's not hard to fake fall style in warmer weather. Here's how I do it:
One
of the best pieces to wear before it's cool is a long sleeved tee or
blouse in a fall color palette without the ubiquitous cardigan or fitted
sweater on top. You still look cute with your jeans and boots, but you
won't be dying of heat stroke.
I'm also a big fan of
the thin cardigan and tank top combination that looks almost as cozy as a
thicker version with some black skinny jeans and rich brown boots
(which you can totally pair with black, so long as it looks
purposeful!).
Finally, a wrap dress in a seasonal color
will look great at work with some heeled boots, but you don't need to
tights and a coat until it gets cooler and people start freaking out
about it being 50 degrees.
Do any of my fellow southern ladies have some fake fall outfit tips to share? How do you look seasonal without burning up?
