5 Things Friday... On Monday

Hello ladies!  I hope you will all excuse the silence around here lately, but I was thoroughly engaged with family activities all weekend, culminating in my grandpa's funeral and my mother's birthday.  This weekend was not one of the best, but I arrived home with an even greater appreciation for my family and all that I have. 

However, now that I'm back in the swing of things, here are five things worth sharing on the internet:

1. Charming Charlie published this guide to necklaces and necklines, and I think it's really useful.  So many people seem to think a necklace should only touch skin but I LOVE layering necklaces over my shirts.  See, it works!

4. If you are lucky enough to still have living grandparents, you should call them.  Today.  Seriously, you probably have 20 free minutes and they'll always be happy that you did.  The "I didn't call often enough" guilt you feel when they're gone is pretty awful.

5. My friend Clinton owns a company dedicated to capturing the family stories that we all wish we could bottle up and keep forever.  If you're in Texas, check out Storykeeping, but if you're not you might consider conducting an interview with your older relatives to document all the memories.  Even an iPhone video will be a treasure one day!  Here is a list of sample questions.
